The Enigma Machine & Group Theory
Wrote a technical paper explaining the Enigma cryptography machine through the lens of symmetric group theory. By modeling encryption as the composition of permutations in S26, cryptanalysts were able to analyze structural vulnerabilities using involution theory to crack the Enigma code.
